Corporate Communications
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Corporate Communications Bureau provides the organization with communications leadership and high quality communications advice, products and services encompassing all aspects of corporate internal and external communications.
The Bureau amalgamates a number of existing core functions, including the Media Relations Section; Issues Coordination and Correspondence Units from the Commissioner's Office; the OPP Museum; Video Production; Awards; and responsibility for coordinating the OPP Intranet and Internet Web sites.
The Corporate Communications Bureau also provides the focus for a number of new responsibilities within the area of corporate communications. These include strategic communications planning, corporate event management and centralized coordination of OPP public relations activities, such as the Commissioner's Own Pipes and Drums, and the OPP Chorus.
