Biker Enforcement

The Biker Enforcement Unit (B.E.U.) is a Joint Forces Operation (J.F.O.) created in June 1998 (formerly known as the Provincial Special Squad). The BEU is comprised of 17 municipal agencies, the R.C.M.P. and C.I.S.O., partnered with its lead agency, the Ontario Provincial Police. This multi-agency partnership is a demonstration of Ontario law enforcement's shared interest in combating organized crime in their respective communities. The unit is comprised of over 100 officers from federal, provincial and municipal police agencies, as well as the Criminal Intelligence Service Ontario.

Mission Statement

We are committed to curtailing the organized crime activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs through shared policing expertise, and to provide quality service, awareness, and assistance to our communities, justice sector partners, and stakeholders.

Vision Statement

To protect our communities from the threat of domestic terrorism created by the criminal networks of outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Mandate

  • Gather intelligence and evidence
  • To serve in an expert resource capacity
  • to assist law enforcement investigations in Ontario, throughout Canada and internationally
  • Provide training
  • Provide "expert" testimony
  • Maximize the collective law enforcement efforts against Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs in the Province of Ontario
  • Provide a leadership role in Canada by implementing the National Strategy on Outlaw Motorcycle Gang Enforcement
  • Enforcement in the Province of Ontario Conduct investigations into the illegal activities of Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs
